Koichi Yamadera , nacido el 17 de junio de 1961 en Tagajo, Miyagi, es un seiyū veterano que también funge como el anfitrión de Oha Star, un show de televisión infantil en Japón. el esta graduado de la universidad Tohoko Gakuin . Su Sobrenombre es Yama-chan .
Su esposa es Mika Kanai (también conocida como Mika Yamadera,su nombre de casada) ,una popular seiyū ,ambos trabajaron juntos en el anime Soreike! Anpaman.
El es mejor conocido por sus trabajos como Ryoga Hibiki en (Ranma ½), Cheese (Soreike! Anpanman), Ryōji Kaji (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Togusa (Ghost in the Shell), y Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop).
