Xander Rawlins is a British army officer who has been serving in Afghanistan with the Grenadier GuardsHe is currently in Nijmegen Company serving as a Platoon Commander.
In 2010 Rawlins, while still in the army, expressed an interest in pursuing a music career when he leaves the forces in 2011.
He is set to release his debut single titled "1000 Miles Apart which is about the time he has been away from home fighting for his country. The song has been the subject of a campaign on the social networking website Facebook to become the Christmas Number One in the United Kingdom for 2010.
