Vendela Linnea Palmgren (born 1994 in Stockholm) is a Swedish singer.
In June 2007 she was the winner of the "Stjärnskott" talent competition at Skansen in Stockholm. In August she performed her own composition, "En som Dig", and won third place in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, broadcast live on TV4 Swedish television to one million viewers.
From September 2007 to April 2008, Palmgren performed live on stage as Lovisa in the ensemble cast of The Sound of Music in the Göta Lejon theatre in Stockholm. From February to April 2008 she participated in Next Star 2008, a Swedish talent competition with approximately 1000 contestants. She won the contest in April 2008.
In May 2008 Palmgren recorded a single CD, which was distributed to 300,000 people in Sweden. In June she performed live on stage at Gröna Lund, at Childhood day in the presence of Swedish princess Madeleine. She recorded the song and music video for the Swedish version of "This Is Me" ("Här är jag") for the Camp Rock soundtrack for Disney.
In July and August 2008 she performed live on stage in the family musical Hujedamej va många sånger, a musical built on Astrid Lindgren songs. She also performed live on stage at five concerts for the Diggiloo tour, with around 8,000 to 14,000 people in the audience for every concert. She performed live on stage at the international Stockholm Water Price in presence of Swedish crown princess Victoria.
She dubs the voice of Disney star Selena Gomez in Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place and dubbed the Swedish voice of Tera Gold in High School Musical 3 for Disney.
In September 2008, Palmgren represented Sweden as local talent at the gala premier of Camp Rock in London, together with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, among others. She performed the Swedish version of "This Is Me"/ "Här är jag" live on stage at the gala premier for the film Camp Rock in Stockholm. Throughout October and November, her television commercial and music video for Camp Rock aired daily on the Disney Channel, TV3, and TV5.
In December, she recorded a song together with Disney Star Tony Oller for the Internet game Zoovolution.
From January to September 2009, Palmgren worked on recording new songs specially written for her by Johan Åberg and KJ. In April she performed at the gala premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie in Stockholm, and was presenter and host at the tour for the finalists of Next Star 2009.
In May she recorded two new songs for Zoovolution in Norway, and in June she recorded the Swedish version of a song for Disney's new DVD movie of Tinkerbell. In August, Palmgren did a live performance at UNG08 in Stockholm and performed as a guest artist in the Disney TV program My Camp Rock Scandinavia. She dubbed the voice for Selena Gomez for the Disney movie Princess Protection Program. In September 2009 she spent a month in Denmark working on a Scandinavian Disney Channel production.
