Varsity

Varsity Fanclub (also known as VFC) is a boy band from Los Angeles, California. Varsity Fanclub currently consists of David Lei Brandt, Drew Ryan Scott, Jayk Purdy, and T.C. Carter.

Varsity Fanclub first gained public attention by giving a special showcase performance at the EMI Music rooftop on August 19, 2008 in New York City. On July 21, 2008, the group appeared in "The Boyband Superfan Interrogation" episode of ABC Family's The Middleman.

Their debut single was "Future Love" (written by Ryan Tedder of One Republic and Evan Bogart). Kristinia DeBarge released a version of "Future Love" on her 2009 album Exposed.

Varsity Fanclub's self-titled debut album was to be released January 13, 2009, but was pushed back and eventually shelved.[citation needed] They are currently writing and recording a new debut album of all new songs.

On May 28, 2009, Thomas Fiss left the group to pursue a solo career. The band members were then joined by actor/singer/dancer T.C. (Tommy Howard Lee Carter III). Their single "Spank That" was released April 27, 2010.

On July 5, 2010, Varsity Fanclub released a song they recorded in 2009 called "Love Like This" that they had earlier sold to kpop group SS501. During late 2010, the band was on a promotional tour through Europe for their first time and published a physical single called "I'm Your Guy". In April 2011, it was reported that Bobby Edner is no longer with the band.

In May 2011, the band started their new tour in Europe. The new single "Opera", written by RedOne, will be release along with an EP in the Fall of 2011.
