The Voids

THE VOIDS are a punk band from from Southern California that formed in 1996 (though their first major shows weren't until 1998). The Voids' biggest influences are bands like: Vice Squad, Subhumans, Black Flag, 7 Seconds, Ill Repute, to name a few. Oh, and Mike really loves AFI...

Most of their shows are in and around the Orange County and Los Angeles County areas, but they have played all over California, as far as San Francisco to the north and San Diego to the south. And in January and February, 2003, they toured on the east coast in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and the surrounding areas.

The lineup has changed somewhat over the years, but the current members are:

Adri (vocals) Matt (guitar) Chris (guitar and vocals) Mike (drums) Gnat (bass guitar)

Previous influential members include: Social Dave (guitar and vocals, who can be heard singing on the demo), Opie (drums), Brass (bass guitar) and Maria (lead vocals, who can be heard singing lead with Adri on the demo).

The Voids have had several releases and have been featured on many compilations (see the discography page). Their newest album, Kill A Generation, was released in January of 2003 and is their first full-length album.
