The Revolution Smile was formed in March of 2000. It was an idea for a band that former Far (Immortal/Epic) guitarist Shaun Lopez envisioned. In this vision he knew that he would have to front this band on his own. "I always had ideas about vocal melodies, so I just learned how to do it myself," he says. "It allows me to be more involved in the final vision of the band." New to the vocal world, Shaun began singing and demo-ing songs in his bedroom. He soon began enlisting others who shared his musical vision. The final lineup for the band was completed in the spring of 2001. It would include T.T. McCord on guitar, Jeremy White on drums, and Octavio Gallardo on bass. After landing a deal with Flawless Records in the spring of 2002, The Revolution Smile began recording their debut, Above the Noise, with producer D. Sardy (Marilyn Manson, Helmet, System of a Down) in the summer of 2002. In the winter of 2002 they completed mixing with Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, System of a Down). "We play rock; rock music really means something to me," says T.T. McCord. "A great rock band doesn't sound like any particular time; it doesn't sound dated." Join with The Revolution Smile as they battle all that is wrong with current music.
