The rolling hills of Pennsylvania breed a different kind of hardcore. It is from these rural areas that The Nightmare Scenario creates their unique blend of melodic hardcore and straight forward rock n' roll that appeals to almost everyone, from young punk rock kids, to metal heads, and even the most jaded scenesters. After forming as a four piece in the fall of 2000, they quickly added a fifth member in the form of a Dodge touring van, Tex, and began to play show after show virtually every weekend since, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in punk and hardcore.
Their fiery live show has been called one of the best time after time by kids from towns all over the east coast, and is not one to be missed. From fireballs exploding at the onset of the first note to the blazing heart stopping crescendo, their set leaves both the crowd and fellow bands alike feeling the intensity and raw passion produced from the stage.
In March of 2001, a self-released EP entitled Halfway Somewhere was recorded at Buffalo, NY's renowned Watchmen Studios. This EP, which sold over 1000 copies within six months without any distribution, subsequently led to their being picked up by the Philadelphia based Kickstart Audio just two months after it's release. In August of 2001, Kickstart sent The Nightmare Scenario back to Watchmen Studios to record their debut ten song full-length. The album, Heartbroken and Hungover was delayed but finally released in March of 2002.
The Nightmare Scenario has now added a second guitarist to fill out the live sound and meet the expectation that their new full length has set for them. Keep your heads up because The Nightmare Scenario will be fighting in your bars and breaking your girlfriends' hearts sometime soon.
