Sylver is the result of a unique combination of female vocalist Silvy De Bie and top 'club' DJ, keyboard player Wout van Dessel. It takes a phenomenon to turn heads in the heavy world of pop/dance. But then Sylver Belgium's hottest export is a phenomenon. Ever since the release of their debut single 'Turn the tide' Sylver have opened doors for themselves all over Europe and extended their reach as far as Canada, Brazil, Mexico, the USA, the Far East and many eastern European countries. 'Turn the tide' went straight to Nr.1 in Belgium and stayed there for over 3 weeks. The album was launched shortly after the single and it went to Nr.2 in the charts. Not long after 'Turn the tide' was released in Germany where it rocketed all the way up the charts to Nr.2. Meanwhile it had reached Nr.1 in Israel; Nr. 3 in Austria and Nr.6 in Switzerland.
Wout together with Regi Pinxten writes and produces Sylver's songs. Regi has already scored multiple hits throughout Europe in his own right but the combination with Wout and Silvy is positively electric.
Silvy a true musical prodigy whose multi-dimensional gifts emerged at the tender age of nine provides the lead vocals for this amazing duo. She's an intelligent and highly creative individual who also contributes to the song writing by expertly interpreting and adding to Wout and Regi's musical arrangements. This combined with the singer's spine-tingling vocal power provide the essence for Sylver's positively stirring live performances.
Late last year Sylver performed 'live' for the public and mass media in Disneyland Paris leaving all who witnessed the gig absolutely spell bound by their incredible professionalism and musical dexterity…and they're still going from strength to strength. In Germany they have picked up quite a few awards recently including the esteemed 'Dance it 2001', against some very strong competition. They were also nominated there for the highly prestigious Echo awards. Early this year they recorded the video for their latest release a deep, melodic, soulful gem of a song titled 'In your eyes' that showcases Sylver in all their universal glory. The video, which includes some amazing dance sequences from Silvy, was shot entirely in Berlin …and there are some serious plans ahead for them.
At the moment Sylver are busily preparing and recording material for their new album which should hit the stores this summer. At the end of March their first single 'Turn the tide' is set for release in the UK and Scandinavia. At the time of going to press they are nr.6 in Estonia and following up on the Nr.1 successes of their singles 'Forgiven' and "Forever in love" in Malaya and Singapore there are plans for a tour of the Far East later in the year. Sylver just keep going from strength to strength.
