Svenne Rubin is a Swedish band. They were founded in 1981 in Vansbro, Dalarna, and has since released eight albums. Their latest album is In the future, on the rubber mattress, and was the 2006th Svenne Rubin had its heyday in the early 1990's.
Their biggest audience success came with the album Six men in shoes (1992), which contains the hits "Long balls Bengt" and "Beer and slam dunk." The album went gold (50,000 copies) and both "long balls" and "Beer" entered the Swedish charts. Popular songs from other albums are "An ancient Amazon" and "It was the same day as the fire burned down."
The group currently consists of Sven Rubin (vocals), Birger P. Resley (bass), Hockey-Bockey Bengt Benkt (keyboards and accordion), Flaco Crown Quist (guitar) and Roine Rubinstein (drums).
Svenne Rubin has appeared in films: a Salesman distress (1994) and foreman who disappeared (1996). In October 2008 the band also participated in a video tape Mimikry.
