Sunseth Sphere

In the summer of 1998, we, Péter Márton (guitars) and Györgi Bánfalvi (bass) had musical conflicts within our former band and decided to start up a fresh and brandnew one.

We founded a new band, initially called ShockWave, and in November of 1998 László Landy joined us on drums. We have known each other already for a long time. The only problem was to find a suitable vocalist. Many male singers auditioned, but none of them had the voice we were looking for.

Furthermore we wanted our music to have a more coloured touch and decided to search for a keyboard player aswell. Then Kyrah appeared and we immediately knew she was the perfect musician to develop our musical concept. She had the ultimate voice for our music and besides turned out to be an excellent keyboard-player.

In February 2000 all line-up problems belonged to the past and with this new line-up our music drastically changed, so we changed our name into Sunseth Sphere.

After half a year of hard work, we finished the material for the "Storm Before Silence" album and entered the Pont-Mi Studio at Székesfehérvár in Hungary where we recorded our debut album from 25th September - 8th October 2000. After finishing the recordings we approached several record-companies to release the album. We received many positive reflections, but the offer of Dutch company Hammerheart Records proved to be the best of all. February 1st 2001 we signed the contract and in April 2001 we re-mixed the album in well-known RS'29 Studio in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, under supervision of studio-engineer Stephen van Haestregt. Resulting in the powerful and crystal-clear sound our music was begging for...we hope you enjoy our music as much as we did composing it.
