Son by Four is considered to be the tropical music group to climb most rapidly to the top spots in sales and in the music charts.
Son by 4's first recording for the Sony Tropical label, has reached after only two months of their release the number one spot on the "Billboard Latin 50 Chart," making it the top record in sales in the Latin market in the United States and Puerto Rico. At the same time, Son by 4 has maintained the No. 1 spot for the fifth consecutive week on the Billboard "Hot Latin Track" and on the "Tropical Chart" as well.
Son by 4's success is not limited to the Latin markets. This week they had their debut on the "Top 100" chart of Billboard Magazine, displaying "A Puro Dolor" as the only Spanish track on that chart.
The artistic career of these four young Puerto Rican men advances with gigantic steps and it is very obvious that they are becoming the group that will be able to accomplish a crossover to the American market. This is the reason why an English version of the track "A Puro Dolor" was also produced targeted for the American market.
On the road towards accomplishing that crossover, Son by 4 performed at the prestigious Alma Awards (Latin American Media Arts), where awards are given to talented Latin artists in the United States. Javi, Georgie, Pedro, and Angel had the opportunity to share the spotlight with renowned artists such as Jimmy Smits, Cristina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Edward James Olmos, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, among others. The group created tremendous impact when they performed with LFO, expertly interpreting a medley of "West Side Story", "Summer Girls" from LFO, and "A Puro Dolor" by Son by 4.
Their busy schedule in the next few months include the group's appearances at the Billboard Awards, Premio Lo Nuestro and the festivities of May 5th in California.
Without a doubt, Son by 4 has a long road ahead of them filled with accomplishments and rewards, and will certainly make history in the Latin music Market.
