Smif-N-Wessun

Brooklyn, New York, USA-based outfit, named after the famous gun-making duo, Smif N Wessun arrived as the second act on Nervous Records' subsidiary, Wreck, in 1993. Rappers Tek and Steele first broke vinyl cover with two tracks, "Black Smif n Wessun" and "U Da Man", housed on Black Moon's Enta Da Stage album. The association with the latter began when they used dancer Tracy Allan, who turned out to be Buckshot's sister, on stage in their early days.

They went on to support their mentors on their national tour with Das EFX. The production team responsible for Enta Da Stage, DJ Evid Dee and his brother Mr. Walt (aka Da Beatminerz), were also present for Smif N Wessun's debut single, "Bucktown". It sold over 75,000 units in its first three weeks of release.
