Sister2Sister

sister2sister are: Chris Muscat and Sharon Muscat

where were you born? Chris: New Zealand. Sharon: Australia

where did you grow up? St Clair in Sydney's western suburbs. We now live in Melbourne, where our record company is.

where did you go to school? Holy Spirit Primary School in St Clair and then Emmaus College in Erskine Park, Sharon now goes to VCA in Melbourne

do you play any instruments? Chris: Piano and drums. Sharon: Piano and guitar

what stuff did you like listening to when you were growing up? Whitney Houston, Madonna, Paula Abdul, NKOTB, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson.

what do you listen to now? TLC, Janet Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Backstreet Boys, Babyface, Natalie Imbruglia, Savage Garden, TIna Arena, Bachelor Girl, Killing Heidi... and plenty more but we'll be here forever listing them.

any defining moments that made you want to sing and dance? The ARIA awards and The Grammys when we'd see our favourite artists performing and being recognised for their talent, especially the awards they'd receive.... we practice our 'thankyous' all the time. We also loved Young Talent Time and wanted to be members. We never missed an episode... if we had to go out, we'd tape it. Mariah and Whitney (when we were really young) influenced us, we admired them and their success. We both initially thought of ourselves as solo artists until we got older and realised, 'why donÕt we try it together?'. We both started dancing because we absolutely loved it, mostly from watching Paula Abdul on television.

have you ever entered any talent quests? Chris: Entered five quests, I came first four times and got disqualified once because Sharon had already won the junior section with the same song... ripped off! Sharon: Entered five quests, I came first three times and two seconds... beaten by dancers.

where did you record your album? The album was recorded in Agoura Hills, north of LA. We recorded there as Pam Reswick, who co-produced the record with our dad Joe, has an amazing studio (Triple Rock) where most of our demos were done. It's a very inspiring and quiet place in the hills. We've had 4 trips to LA in 14 months, we feel quite comfortable there now.
