With tight, fast paced guitars, heavy grooves, and aggressive yet melodic vocals, Toronto's Sector Seven don't mess around. When listening to their latest full-length release called "Along the Way". You can hear that there is a lot more to this band than just fast and heavy. This past spring was a very busy one for Sector Seven. Upon completing their second album (Along the Way) the guys immediately began shooting a video for the first single off the new album. Walter Bildjan of Toybox Productions in Toronto directed the video for "On a Fence". The video, shot entirely on 35mm gives the viewer a sneak peak at what Sector Seven is like on stage. Fast edits and wide-angle photography make the viewer feel like they are up close and personal at a Sector Seven show. The album Along the Way has been receiving considerable airplay on college radio and has even been profiled on Edge 102.'s Indie Hour with Dave Bookman. Much Music VJ Rachel Perry says of "Along The Way" - some of the best Canadian punk I've heard since Propaghandhi. Sector Seven feel most at home playing shows with action sports themes. They have played many events such as Wakestock - Canada's largest wakeboard contest, Skatespace - the Canadian Cup of skateboarding and Fox Clothing's annual motocross party. Their music can also be found on motocross, skateboard and wakeboard videos. Sector Seven realize that a band must put on an energetic stage show as well as having a tight album to keep show goers happy. The band endeavors to get spectators into their shows by engaging the audience whenever possible. Sector Seven has honed their stage performance with two cross Canada tours and countless local shows. All these elements have helped grow a loyal fan base for the band in and around the Toronto area. If ever you get the chance to see the band live, hang on because it's going to be a bumpy ride.
