Sacred Reich

Phil Rind - (Vocals and Bass) Wiley Arnett - (Lead Guitar) Jason Rainey - (Rhythm Guitar) Greg Hall - (Drums)

There is nothing quite as genuine as a live album, it captures musicians in their best atmosphere, on stage releasing all the energy in them and feeding it to their rabid audience in a frenzy of guitar riffs and pounding drum beats. Of course a live album wouldn't be good if the band recording it couldn't truly give 150% live.

Luckily for us at Metal Blade Records Sacred Reich is a band that was born on the stage and lives and dies by their performance on the road. That's what makes Still Ignorant such a genuine live album, filled with every single blood, sweat and tear the band has pounded out in it's long and illustrious career.

The thirteen songs represented on this live recording span their entire recording career of four albums and two ep's offering something off all these great releases. Not to mention the original line up is back, featuring Phil Rind on bass and vocals, Wiley Arnett on lead guitar, and Greg Hall on drums.

Sacred Reich started their career at Metal Blade Records with their magnificent debut Ignorant ('87) which was followed by the Surf Nicaragua ep ('88) containing to this day the Reich's most famous song, the title track "Surf Nicaragua" . The band then moved on to Hollywood Records where The American Way ('90), A Question ep ('91) and Independent ('93) were released respectively. Sacred Reich has since resigned to Metal Blade Records and released their most intense album in their ten year career, Heal ('96).

Still Ignorant gives Sacred Reich a chance to let their fans know how appreciative they are of their loyal followers and that if it wasn't for them they would be nowhere today. Listen to Still Ignorant and marvel at the infectious rhythms of "One Nation", "War Pigs", "American Way" and all the others, you will soon remember what a Sacred Reich concert was and will always be about.
