Rushmore

Since their start in 2003, the New Jersey/Philadelphia based band, Rushmore, has played over 250 shows all over the east coast and has opened for national touring acts which include bands such as; The Plain White T's, The Early November, All Time Low, Secondhand Serenade, I Am The Avalanche, Houston Calls, Yellowcard, Valencia, Tokyo Rose, and so many more.

2007 was a busy year for Rushmore, who won the MTVu Battle of Bands in August of that year. The band was also recently named one of the top 5 musicial acts in the Philly Sound Clash which highlights acts in the Philadelphia area. Rushmore was the only punk band in the top 5. Rushmore was one of the top 25 unsgined bands according to MTVU and Drive Thru Records. Due to their success with MTVu, Rushmore was nominated for the MTVu Woodie Awards for the category of "Best Music On Campus."

The band has also headlined a Katrina relief concert sponsored by Philadelphia radio station, Wired 96.5. With a bright future ahead of them, Rushmore is getting air play on college radio at West Chester University, University of Boston, Syracuse University, Rutgers University, and Indiana University ready to break out of the local scene and move on to even bigger things.

As one promoter put it, “Not even Richard Dean Anderson of MacGyver could create a band that sounds as good as Rushmore."
