2011 Soul Train Awards aired its winners on Sunday night (BET)The 2011 Soul Train Awards which took place in Altlanta, Georgia at Fox Theater on November 17th aired last Sunday, November 27th on BET.

Some lucky winners included Beyonce Knowles, Rihanna, Chris Brown or Nicki Minaj. Thanks to her single "Man Down", Ririh won Best Caribbean Performance, but lost her nomination for Best Dance Performance to Queen Bey due to her video "Run The World (Girls)". Rihanna's ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown received only one honor out of his five nominations. He grabbed Album of the Year</B> award thanks to his F.A.M.E. album and pushed away Beyonce's "4", Trey Songz's "Passion, Pain & Pleasure", Adele's "21", Jill Scott's "The Light of the Sun", and Jay-Z & Kanye West's "Watch the Throne".

The Young Money rapstress, Nicki Minaj won the award in the only category she got nominated <B>Best Hip-Hop Song</B> with her single "Moment For Life".

Among other winners are also Miguel, who won Best New Artist, Cee-Lo Green - <B>Best Male R&B and Soul, Mary Mary - <B>Best Gospel Performance, Kelly Rowland won Song of the Year and Marsha Ambrosius won <B>Record of the Year.

Besides honoring the artists, the event also paid homage to late rapper Heavy D. Artists like Naughty by Nature, Doug E. Fresh, Kurtis Blow and Goodie Mob were present to remember their fellow artist.
