Reema Major is a hip hop singer, songwriter, dancer, rapper and actress.
Reema Major was born on June 26, 1995 in Khartoum Sudan. Some people think she was born on April 26th but that's just a misprint that's on most of her legal documents. Before she was three she had lived in several different countries, including, Kenya and Uganda.
She has distant memories of those times, including living with her six siblings and her mother in a small one bedroom home. At three years old there were more changes to come. First was a move to Windsor, Ontario.
At 3 she moved to Toronto Ontario and at nine she moved to Kansas Mo. Both Reema's Mother Joy Ajang and her father Khalife Bin-Rashid are Araibic. They both speak Arabic and until this day Reema also speaks it fluently. Reema is the youngest of seven children.
Growing up in a challenging environment Reema would us writing as an outlet. She wrote her first rap at five and she played it for her cousin on her answering machine. She’s been writing ever since. Although living in the hood had unexpected challenges thrown her way everyday she kept her hustle consistent. Staying true to who she is, every thing she writes of is a personal experience 'I only spit what I know', says Reema. She enjoys listening to music obviously and ironically she doesn't listen to much rap. Her most enjoyed genres are Punk rock, rock and R&B. Music if of course her first love and dancing is her second.
She entered her first competition at 9 and won dutty wine queen 3 times in a row and took the dancehall kid title. This 14 year old multi talented female MC is truly a breath of fresh air.
