Quique Villanueva

Enrique "Quique" Sappia Villanueva (Buenos Aires, September 29, 1942 - do., November 4, 1997) was an Argentine singer. Achieved great fame during the '60s and '70s as lead singer of the band The Castaways.

He rose to fame in the late '60s, when he joined the group The Castaways with Gustavo Alessio, Guillermo Cimadevilla, Rocky Nilson and Jimmy Arce, produced the musician Francis Smith. Together the group popularized songs like bowling in bowling, broken shoes, I go back to sink, again on the way, I in my house and she at the bar.

After a while he left the group and began his solo career, where he successes and failures. It was during this period that became popular and spread in Latin American and Latino communities, enabling it to perform various tours.

During his last years, created a football club, Atletico QV and ran a textile factory. He died in November 1997, a victim of cancer. His remains rest in the Pantheon of SADAIC Chacarita Cemetery.
