Plus 3

PLUS 3 formed in 2000 and under the original lineup, recorded their first EP entitled "happy little accidents" in 2001. The debut EP consisted of eight tracks of original music, including I Won't Be Around which was chosen as a top ten finalist in a nationwide search to be featured in the Hollywood Pictures movie “Sol Goode.”

In December 2003, PLUS 3 released their first full-length album BAD MATH, which has garnered praise from music critics throughout Pennsylvania, as well as receiving positive feedback from out-of-state music industry resources. This was evidenced when they were chosen as a Top 50 Qualifier in “The American Music Awards® Presents The Coca-Cola New Music Award" 2003 competition. Local media heralded the CD as "clearly, one of the best regionally released albums of the year." Multiple songs from the album have received regional radio airplay.

In the summer of 2004, PLUS 3 played some notable shows including an opening slot for Fleetwood Mac, the Millennium Music Conference, and a slot at the 35th Annual Woodstock Reunion.

PLUS 3 has just completed recording their new full length CD, “LATE NIGHTS AND LOST CAUSES”, which is due for release in late March 2005. The CD will include 11 brand new tracks from the band. For this CD, PLUS 3 welcomed their new bass player Joe Whalen, who also contributed three songs to the new disc.

The music of PLUS 3 offers a tasteful blend of intelligent, melodic writing, ringing acoustic guitars, and first-class vocals. Showing the influence of the great pop-rock bands from the Beatles to R.E.M., Plus 3 shows that tuneful, hummable rock is very much alive.
