In their short career, Dublin-based Picturehouse have notched up three hit albums, multiple awards and accolades and a string of hit singles, but it is as a live act that they are most renowned. Since the start of 1999 they have toured incessantly, playing live to more than a million people all over Europe.
They have toured with The Corrs, Melanie C, Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi and Texas and have impressed some of the biggest names in the business with their performances. Elton John is a big fan of the band having seen one of their shows in the UK. He wrote the band a note to say that he had bought 100 copies of their album 'Karmarama' to give to his friends.
'Sunburst', one of the band's hits, is featured on the closing sequence of the forthcoming movie 'The Most Fertile Man In Ireland'.
Picturehouse are currently recording their 3rd album in Dublin and London with Bob Clearmountain handling the mixing duties in LA. The first single, 'She', from that album is due for release in late March 2001.
The band will be showcasing tracks from their new album when they play 4 nights a t HQ, Dublin in March (7, 8, 9, 10)
