When the doom metal band Revelation folded in 1996 guitarist / vocalist Dennis Cornelius moved to Oklahoma and kept a low profile the following year. In early 1998 his friend and long time Revelation fan Patric Barret moved to Oklahoma from his current home in California to join forced with him. Members came and went the first year of the band's existence. The new-born band released two demos under the moniker COR and eventually attracted attention from Brainticket Records with whom they signed a deal. Since there was already a band with the name COR they changed their name to Oversoul before the debut album was released. "Seven Days In November" was recorded in November of 1999 at Hai Tex Studios and finally released in July 2000. The band finally broke up in 2002 with Cornelius reuniting with Revelation.
