No Ones Kind

No One's Kind is Dan Cooper - vocals Rob "Bee" Wu - drums Jay Beliveau - guitar, vocals Ryan John - guitar, vocals Pat Scott - bass

Since the first hammer of a bass, cry of an electric guitar, or pound of a drum, No One’s Kind has fought to bring into this world a kind of expression that would make a difference. Beginning simply as a basement act out of Wakefield, Massachusetts, the members matured alongside their music. Knowing that urge, and embracing what they knew, the band formed under their name, and began to give birth to their unique style of mind numbing rock.

Originally drawing from some of their stronger influences such as – Finger Eleven, Sevendust, and Deftones, the band began to draw local attention during the fall of 1999. No One’s Kind slowly crept their way up to the larger music scene that makes up all of Massachusetts.

Growing and changing, each member contributed his own styling to form a merged whole. Rob Wu’s drums act as the lifeblood of the group, forming the foundation of rhythms/grooves and an intense live show that is unmatched. Pat Scott with his back beating bass grooves, lays the pulse of the hard rocking numbers. Guitarists Ryan John (ex-Useless) and Jay Beliveau paint the model and harmonies of the music, forcing emotion down the listener’s throat with a shovel. Overlaying it all, Cooper’s voice melds the pieces together to create the conditioned sound that has crawled its way into the hearts of fans throughout the area.

The band sets its roots in more traditional outlets. With over half of the members originally cut from a background of classical music, No One’s Kind carefully blends the musical stylings of everything that has brought them this far. Touches of rock, jazz, and blues, have carried their expressive music and lyrics to what they are today.

Giving themselves to their friends and fans in Massachusetts, the band continues to branch out and extend its reach in New England. No One’s Kind continues to push the envelope of the local scene in and around the Boston area. Following their unrelenting passion for music, the band will continue to write and perform as long as there are stages to be touched.
