Naer Mataron

Naer Mataron were gathered back in the year 1994 with the aim to play pure Black Metal. Their lyrics are dealing with the ancient Hellenic and European glory.

The founder members back then were Morpheas and Lord Alatoth. The name back then was Nar Mataron. After various line-up changes and the release of the "The Awakening Of The Ancient Greece" demo and the "The Great God Pan" promo tape, Naer Mataron signed a deal with Black Lotus Records. Kaiadas and Lethe were by then, members of the horde. During that time of season Naer Mataron also participated in the "Tribute To Bathory" cd with the song "Equimanthorn".

At the year 1997 the members of the band didn't want to continue with Lord Alatoth and because of that they decided that he had to leave from the band. After this move, the change of the band's name was immediate into Naer Mataron. In 1998 the debut album was out, entitled "Up From The Ashes". A masterpiece of fast, violent Black Metal with melodic and pagan atmosphere and feeling.

Naer Mataron did three live appearances in the year 1999 with bands like Mayhem, Rotting Christ, Deviser and Order of the Ebon Hand with Efialtis as a vocalist for these live appearances.

In the year 2000 the line-up was stabilized under this form: Morpheas (all guitars) ,Kaiadas (bass) and Lethe (drums and keys).

With this line-up and with Aithir doing the vocals, "Skotos Aenaon" was finally out on November of 2000, again through Black Lotus Records. An ultra-fast and warlike album filled with the emotion of pride.

On April , the year 2002, Naer Mataron released after two years of absence, the 7"ep " A Holocaust In Front Of Gods Eyes" through Aphelion Productions. A True Black Metal limited release to 500 hand numbered copies. After one month this release was a sold-out. Now, Naer Mataron are preparing the songs for their 3rd release which it will be out in Autumn of 2002...
