Line Up: Beelzeebubth Arnald Asmoodeeus Brunno Rheys Leandros Louis Bear
South American Band that was born in the Dark Antichristian's Mind named Beelzeebubth (a damn proud Black Man) in July of 1989. He has summoned all of his forces to form an Extreme Metal Band into Underground Philosophy to violate all of the ethical code and biblical principle created by the occidental community. In his powerful point-of-view, ignorance and hypocrisy are the most dangerous breed of animal contained within this planet - "The occidental catholic society is a deadly menace against the wild life and... In the name of their hypocritical conceptions and megalomaniac god, they have devastated the world and they are ready to crucify or enslave anyone who preaches a different state of thinking or living...".
MYSTIFIER has been drawing attention from those ones who admire Extreme Underground Metal Musick for years, becoming one of its sources. It all raised from the darkness when Beelzeebubth met Meugninousouan (vocalist), Behemoth (guitarist), and Lucifuge Rofocale (drummer) to complete the band. The first notes were heard proclaiming pragmatic doctrines downfall!!
Five months proceeding, after several rehearsals and concerts, they recorded their first Demo-tape in 1989 entitled "TORMENTING THE HOLY TRINITY", with eight original songs and a cover song "Massacre" (from Bathory).
The response was so extensive that Maniac Records (a small vinyl record store from their hometown) invited them to record two own songs for a single. Mystifier eagerly agreed. In July of 1990, the single, "THE EVIL ASCENSION RETURNS" was released. They were the first Metal band from their town to release material onto a label.
Some Brazilian labels were very interested to deal with them. Then, in July of 1991, they recorded a promo-tape entitled "ALEISTER CROWLEY" with six fresh songs to present them to other labels.
In February/1992, the hard work had paid-off and their debut album "WICCA" was released on the rip-off Brazilian label Hellion Records. It is considered one of the most extreme albums to date for many magazines and true fans of Extreme Metal Musick. After the releasing of their debut album, Beelzeebubth fired Meugninousouan because of his lack of interest. Asmodeus (ex-Hatred) was recruited to be the new vocalist and keyboardist. In that same time, Astaroth (ex-Calvary) joined them on the second lead guitar.
During those years, the band gained enormous worldwide underground notoriety. It drew the attention of the French label Osmose Productions that dealt with them for two albums. The first was released in the November of 1993, with worldwide distribution through SPV, entitled "GĂ–ETIA" [several months later, their debut album also released in Europe on Osmose Productions]. The response was a European tour request from the tour promoter Insolit - and many reviews, articles, interviews, and so forth - in international magazines and radio stations. After that release, MYSTIFIER played in many Brazilian areas to promote the new releasing.
Behemoth and Astaroth had to quit the band because of their jobs and even they weren't interested to keep a professional band. Paulo Lisboa (of Headhunter) replaced them on the lead-guitar.
Beelzeebubth was very disappointed with the Underground scene, corroded with hypocritical 'satanic christians' who were talking a lot of shit about Satanism, fascism, racism and nazi thoughts. Then, He canceled the releasing of the third album for a time and He recomposed the songs for to distinguish the trends. In August of 1996, their masterpiece third album entitled, "THE WORLD IS SO GOOD THAT WHO MADE IT DOESN'T LIVE HERE" was released with six new tracks. It's their greatest produced and recorded material. it is totally original and different from their previous releases. Due to that delay, the European tour was over and Osmose Productions didn't express their interest to work with the band anymore. But, the band doesn't surrender to the trends and follows its own way playing the most extreme form of Musick born into 'Underground Philosophy!'
Beelzeebubth signed with a Brazilian label to release all MYSTIFIER albums in Brazil. The first releasing was their debut album "WICCA" plus the single "T.E.A.R." on CD format. It was released in September of 1997. He didn't like the production of that releasing and He is looking for a decent Brazilian label to release all their titles in Brazil with a fine production.
Aab Benaia (Lucifuge Rofocale) left the band because he doesn't have time enough to support the band. His last recording with the band was on "Sepultural Feast" - a tribute to Sepultura, covering "Warriors of Death". Louis Bear (of Drearylands) was invited to replace him. His first concert with the band was in the 'Rotting Christ Brazilian Tour' in June of 1998.
They released a single on CD format with seven fresh songs and a re-done version of "Beelzeebubth" (from the second album) on the Brazilian label DM Records to celebrate their 10 years. The single was entitled "DEMYSTIFYING THE MYSTIFIED ONES (FOR A DECADE IN THE EARTHLY PARADISE)".
After several line up changes, Beelzeebubth decided to play rhythm and lead guitar and called two new musicians to complete the band - Brunno Rheys (ex-Forsaken) who plays bass guitar and Leandros (of Forsaken) who plays keyboard.
The band has got a good deal from the Belarussian label Eldritch Music to release their first demo-tape of 1989 "TORMENTING THE HOLY TRINITY" plus tons of bonus tracks (two new songs, a rought mix of the MCD/Single of 1999 "Demystifying The Mystified Ones..", Cover songs of Sarcofago "Satanic Lust" and Poison "Leather & Metal"). It will be entitled "The Fourth Evil Calling From The Abyss - Tormenting The Holy Trinity". In addiction, this releasing will have a multimedia video clip on CDROM.
The band has signed with the Brazilian label Encore Records to release their next two albums. Their fourth full-length album is on the way to come to the light until the second semester of 2001. The possible working title is "PROFANUS" with thirteen compositions.
