What’s in a name? For the band formerly known as Monty, years of great memories, but that was then and this is now. Officially changing their name to Monty Are I, the Providence, Rhode Island-based ‘action rock’ band is moving full-steam ahead to the August 1st in-store date for their debut album WALL OF PEOPLE, the first release on the Stolen Transmission label. The album was recorded with producer Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco, Receiving End of Sirens) at his Baltimore studio. In addition to five new tracks, the album will include six tracks remixed by Squire from the band’s self-financed indie EP The Red Shift. The Providence Phoenix called the EP “a triumphant kick in the sack with some balls-out rock exuding the breathless exuberance of Steve Aiello and Ryan Muir accompanied by dynamic percussion and blistering guitars.”
