New Jersey's Monster Magnet pride themselves on their uncompromising, 100 percent full-on ROCK sound. Fronted by Dave Wyndorf with guitarist Ed Mundell, bassist Joe Calandra and drummer Jon Kleiman, Monster Magnet released their first album, Spine of God, in 1992. Since then, they've been ripping it up coast-to-coast with their witty, stoner-inflected lyrics and warped, atmospheric blend of psychedelia and classic rock.
Their fourth album, Powertrip, came out on A&M Records in 1998. The songs on the album were written by Wyndorf during a 21-day writing spree in sin city Las Vegas.
Monster Magnet's latest, a typically over - the - top orgy of rock excess called God Says No, was released in 2001.
