Watch: Matt Nathanson debuts his music video Run featuring Sugarland The folk/rock musician Matt Nathanson debuted the music video to support his latest single "Run" which also features country duo-group Sugarland. The clip shows Matt performing the song in front of the wall that occasionally displays the lyrics, and later some footage of him performing with his featured guest Sugarland in a live concert. Parts of his lyrics are written on different objects during the clip: on the walls, on his t-shirts, balloons, on a mirror, or on a jar. Later Matt performs his track on the rooftop of a building, while rocking the guitar too.

"Run" is taken from Matt's seventh studio album called Modern Love, which was released last summer. It's the only song in the effort which has a featured guest. Talking about his music inspiration, Matt said in an interview, When I was a kid, listening to The Cure, it sounded like it was beamed in from another planet. He also cited duo Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles as a group he looks up to. It's funny to think that a popular country band can inspire you, he gushed.

The same day the video dropped off, Matt joined Sugarland on the stage of Dancing with the Stars and performed live their successful single-collaboration Run, while Tristan MacManus and Peta Murgatroyd danced a rumba on the song.
