The LONELY KINGS have been carving away at success. The three man band made up of Jake Desrochers, Jesse darling, and Jon Barrysmith wont stop until they've found it. LONELY KINGS spawned in 1994 in the remote Northern California town Grass Valley. They rocked for three years relentlessly touring , recording demos, and promoting /booking their own tours. They played all up and down the west coast dozens of times before settling in Santa Cruz ,CA. They used the strong punk scene in Santa Cruz to launch a capacity crowd following in less than a year.

Soon after they were found and signed by Bob Becker at FEARLESS RECORDS in Orange County, CA. Fearless recognized the dynamic styles, and time proven song writing skills the LONELY KINGS and quickly put them in the studio in march of 99'. The LONELY KINGS first record "What If?" was released in the summer of 99', and things started picking up for the band. They did three national tours that year, and played local and regional shows every weekend they could, keeping the band busy on the road .

The LONELY KINGS then went on to record a 4 song split e.p. with DIVIT (Nitro Records) on Coldfront Records, a smaller punk rock /indy label. The songs were very well accepted and the next year and a half were spent practicing, touring , writing, and recording demos. " We recorded like 5 demos before we went in to record 'Crowning Glory', we wanted to put out the best songs we could write", says Jake D. lead singer and guitarist for the band. Guided by producer /engineer/mixing guy Cameron Webb in June of 2001 the band was able to craft their diverse sound into a smooth blend of rock/punk/hardcore/emo/pop

Luke Pabich the guitarist for GOOD RIDDANCE (Fat Records) came in to co - produce after the LONELY KINGS made line up changes weeks before recording. They lost a longtime drummer, found a replacement, then had to record the new album in a month. The spot on drums was filled the very next day by Jon Barrysmith a long time friend and fan of the band. He had been prepared; he used to practice to "What If?" It didn't take long for the band to recover, and having the strength of perseverance only made them stronger. After recording 'crowning glory', the band then went straight out on the road for a month, then right back in the studio. A four song split e.p. with Jetlag was the outcome , and it was released quickly, (before 'crowning glory')on Sessions Records.

The future plans of LONELY KINGS are to keep touring (including some warped tour dates this summer), writing, and recording. They've already begun working on a third album.
