Living Syndication

Members: Pervez Taufiq - Vocals Andy DeCicco - Bass Mike Desmond - Guitar Gregg Irick - Drums

Aggressive, raw, and melodic, Living Syndication is the blend of rhythmic agression, with melodies and harmonies remniscent of the Seattle days. Fusing East-Indian melodies and dynamics, something never done before in the genre, the band breaks new ground and tests the boundaries of contemporary hard rock.

Although they've been together for only a short time, Living Syndication has generated a ground swell of attention that screams for you to recognize their talent. Hailing from the city of Boston, Living Syndication was formed by lead singer Pervez Taufiq in February of 2001. As what can described as a minor phenomenon, within a month of forming, they received impromptu airplay on New York's radio heavy hitter KROCK for a song titled "Restrain". "We don't even know how they got the track," said singer Pervez Taufiq. Indeed, the band was being played on a spotted list of radio stations at the time without even releasing anything other than allowing downloads on the internet.

Since then, the band has played with numerous acts, including Sevendust, Nonpoint, Filter, Earshot, Audiovent, OTEP, and the like. Their song "13 Minutes" is featured in a New Line Cinema film, and their new single "Hurt Someone" is featured in an upcoming XBOX / PS2 game. With a ever growing presence on radio and the internet, Living Syndication has generated a buzz which is undeniable. Their current website generates about 1.7 Gigabytes of downloads daily (400 new unique users per day). Their music has been lauded as being "a hybrid mix of Alice in Chains and U2" and "emotionally evoking".
