Liar's Academy

The Liars Academy is a melodic pop/rock/post-punk outfit hailing from Baltimore MD. The Liar's Academy formed during the fall of 2000, following the breakup of frontman Ryan Shelkett and drummer Evan Tanner's previous band, Cross My Heart. Shelkett and Tanner joined forces with friend Matt Smith of Richmond-based Strike Anywhere and the trio quickly produced a batch of inspiring, heartfelt songs that will surely impact the current state of pop music. The band chose renowned producer Drew Mazurek (Jawbox, Texas Is The Reason) to man the board for their debut release. No News is Good News clearly showcases the band's polished, melodic, hook-laden songs that will appeal to fans of all realms of the independent music world. Cross My Heart bassist Chris Camden joined shortly after recording No News Is Good News.
