The music of LA VIE resides where the bright city lights of rock and roll fade so eloquently into the countryside of folk music. Characterized by strong lyrical hooks and unforgettable melodies, with a live performance that moves across the stage like a hurricane.
The band was recently featured in the Indie Spotlight on Youtube, and every show in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA is nearly at full capacity. Their debut self-titled EP was produced by Andrew Dixon (Colbie Caillat, Augustana).
They took a more international approach to the 2nd EP, titled 'Redemption Day' which was produced by Fredrik Eriksson in Los Angeles, Stockholm, and London. The album was completed in less than three weeks leading up to it's release on May 28, 2011, when the band performed live in the UK for millions of people on the Dermot O'Leary show on BBC Radio 2.
The band released both of their studio EPs as a 'Dual-EP', available only through their website www.lavieband.com for $10, donating a percentage of the sales to the Rubicon Team, a disaster relief organization based out of Los Angeles, CA
