KRATORNAS primarily started as NERGAL in September 1995 as a heavy black/doom metal project created mainly by the ZAMORA guitarist and a doomy bassist (from another local band) who didn't last for months. Due to some misunderstanding on musical influences, NERGAL departed while the guitarist look forward of what he believe to the said project. On December of 1995, the name NERGAL was changed due to the other existing band in Greece. To avoid confusion, the KRATORNAS unique moniker was put up, considering the bands ability as well... Creator sathanas ! January 1996 when KRATORNAS recorded a 2 song "home-exclusive", making sure that their music will not sound the same any other bands in this planet... even the local death/grind band (yet brutal rivals), ZAMORA ! On the other hand, KRATORNAS doesn't have as similar tone like ZAMORA's cruel and harsh one ! February 1996, KRATORNAS rises from the bowels of the deepest abyss and will surely give punishment to all dicking possers and fakeshits around! The month gives birth to the band that will spread darkness, extreme hatred, violence, torture and desecration to the whole world. The band was about to record their material on July 1996 but due to some problems (financial and medicinal), all recordings schedules were pulled out, all rehearsals were cancelled and even the band, was extremely down that cannot even get out on the spell of Amphitamine. In some cases, their early flyres were globally spread, so there are mails droppping asking about the bands existence. With a little cleansing, KRATORNAS refined a bit and get back again on the dark circulation, drive back the things that was never really started. Early March 1997 when KRATORNAS finally gets back active on the dark ciculation and started writing their new materials to prove their own originality in the black metal underground. On the song Abysmal Friar was taken and re-written for the enclosure on their debut demo, Enorht Eht Nihtiw Si Taog Eht. On fall 1997, the band recorded their material. Again, a lot of problems occur at that time ! On other instances, KRATORNAS is having control than before. With the mind blowing help of Crack, the band recorded and finishes ten musical structures within 3 days of no sleep. Vocals were finalize on the other week with a wet and natural throat bleeding ! Flyers announced the released globally on September 1997 but LIGUM DILUM PRODUCTION take charge of anything from this demo and officially released the material on November 1997. KRATORNAS is lyrically about the black art witchery, as their music goes fast as a rampaging tornado with a load of pounding rhythms crushing your skull to dust... set your own inner torments in the form of something fast, dark, evil and horrifying atmospheres of sullen darkness, make this band a style of their own and not join any stupid black metal trend or any faggot make up wearing fake cunts!
The band split up in May or June 2001.
