KIRK DEARMAN BIO
Kirk Dearman is a singer/songwriter/composer and pianist who has enjoyed a successful career in music and the arts. Drawn to the piano at age five, his mom had the wisdom to find a teacher and lessons. For eight years he studied classical music and developed his 'sensitive' touch on the piano. Early on he was recognized as having an exceptional gift at the piano.
As a teen he moved on to play pop music, had his first song published at 18, and toured the world with the Continental Singers.
Kirk is perhaps best known for his song, "We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise." The song was Number One with Christian Copyright Liscensing for five years and stayed in the Top Ten for ten years and is now a worship classic, sung in churches world-wide. Many of his songs are included in church hymnals.
Kirk's piano instrumental series, "The Calm," is quickly gaining in popularity, as it brings peace and soothes the multitudes who buy and live by his music.
Another song Kirk is particularly proud of is "The Dash." He was honored to write the music to the world-famous poem, "The Dash," by Linda Ellis and the song is recognized as the official song version of the poem. "The Dash"song was recently included on a 2-CD compilation project titled "Tea Are the World." This nationwide release is connected with the official Tea Party movement and the songs on the project reflect the movement's values.
Kirk and his wife Deby reside in Franklin, TN, where he continues his career in songwriting and recording. For more information, please visit www.cometothequiet.com.
