Kenneth Glöckler (born 7 September, 1984) is a German rapper known as Kay One, who is signed as artist to sublabel ersguterjunge.
Early life and carrer
Kay One grew up in Ravenburg am Bodensee. He began to rap as a 13 year old teenager, when he was with his brother and a colleague in the woods. They began to freestyle about their experience they had throughout the day.[1] After Kay One had won several hip hop freestyles battles, at 16 he won the popular competition"Royal Rumble" in Stuttgart in 2001.
A year later Kay One was signed to Royal Bunker, with Jaysus. They called themselves the duo "Chablife".[2] 2005, he switched to Eko Fresh's record label German Dream Entertainment, late December 2006 he met rapper Bushido and became acquainted with him
2007-2009: ersguterjunge and rise to fame
Since early 2007, Kay One has been signed to ersguterjunge. He became known through his work as the featured artist on several releases, such as Bushido's albums 7 and Heavy Metal Payback, Unter der Sonne by Chakuza and his collaborations on ersguterjunge Sampler Vol. 3 - Alles Gute kommt von unten. The lead single "Alles Gute kommt von unten", with Bushido and Chakuza, reached the single charts in Germany and Austria.
At the Juice Awards Kay One was chosen, because of his most Freetracks, to the Newcomer of 2008.
2010: Kenneth allein zu Haus
In 2010, Kay One appeared in Isch kandidiere with Horst Schlämmer. He recorded with Bushido and Schlämmer the theme song "HSP". Kay One appeared also in Bushido's biographical film Zeiten ändern dich.
On the 7th May released his debut album Kenneth allein zu Haus with guest appearences of Fler, Bushido, Philippe Heithier, Frauenarzt, Nyze and his former partner Benny Blanko. The song "Style & das Geld", that featured Bushido, released as promotional single. Lead single "Ich brech die Herzen" reached in Germany
