Russell Brand excluded from PCA's guest list while Katy Perry is confirmed
After their unexpected, messy break-up Katy Perry and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Russell Brand will no longer see each other at the next week awards-giving ceremony, as organizers of the 2012 People's Choice Awards have excluded Russel from the guests list. Russell filed divorce from Katy on December 30th, after many rumors after their split several months. It was reported that Katy refused to settle down to become a 'Hollywood housewife' while the comedian was eager to start a family. The couple married in India, in October 2010.
His exclusion was made in order to avoid a confrontation with Katy, who is confirmed to make an appearance at the upcoming 38th anniversary. "It will be Katy's big night, a prelude to the Grammys, and now Russell has been strangely left off the list of attendees for the high-profile event," a source told the Mirror. "It was always going to be awkward for organizers in any case after their shock decision to split. But in order to avoid any awkwardness or confrontation Russ is no longer on the list."
Katy also received 7 nods, five in music including Favorite Female Artist, another nod in movie as Favorite Animated Movie Voice for her role in "The Smurfs" and the seventh in TV category as Favorite TV Guest Star thanks to her stint in "How I Met Your Mother".
