Katy Perry practically blinded the population of Los Angeles, when she announced the release date for her next album, ”Prsim”, on a gold semi-truck.

The 28-year-old “Firework” singer made the unusual announcement about when her fourth album is scheduled for release as the blinding semi rolled down the city's busy streets. Although fans in Los Angeles were the first to get the news, the artist revealed that other cities too will see the gold semi wheeling around.

Katy’s frequent collaborator, songwriter Bonnie McKee, recently said fans can expect a more "mature" sound from the star.

“I think it's a little bit more grown up and it's really interesting," she told MTV News.

"I'm really excited for the world to hear it because she's just... she's taking a new approach. And I don't want to say too much about it, but it's definitely different. It's definitely a little more mature than the California Gurls of yesterday.”
