[edit] Biography

Shellhart was born in Wheatland, Wyoming[2] to single mother, Tana Shellhart. She lived in Santa Rosa, CA until age 10 when she moved to Nashville, TN.[2] She began writing songs at the age of 10 upon moving to Nashville. At age 13 she began being managed by Rick Barker from Nashville To You LLC. and signed her first publishing deal with Sea Gayle Music Publishing (owned by Brad Paisley) at 14 years old.[2] She is the youngest staff songwriter ever signed to the company. At 15, she was offered a record deal with Sony Music Nashville[1] by former chairman, Joe Galante. Before officially signing her record deal, she was approached by Best Buy to record an exclusive album, resulting in the release of In A Room. The 15-track album was produced by Lex Lipsitz in a room at the Nashville To You offices as opposed to a recording studio, which is why Shellhart titled it what she did.

Since the release of her album, Shellhart has performed at the ICM Awards,[3] the All-Star Jam after-party at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas,[4] and, on her 16th birthday, the Grand Ole Opry, where Little Jimmy Dickens presented her with a birthday cake on stage.[5]

Jordyn is currently a sophomore at Centennial High School and has said that she will graduate high school before fully dedicating herself to a music career.[1] [edit] References
