Jazmin Lopez

Hailing from the tiny town of Brackettville, Texas, Mexican-American Duranguense singer Jazmin Lopez started working towards a career in music since her first singing lesson at the age of four. She began performing and touring night clubs throughout Texas and Mexico at the age of 15, during which time she shared the stage with such well-known Regional Mexican artists as Los Tigres del Norte, Alacranes Musical and Bronco. Known as “La Princesa del Pasito Duranguense,” Jazmin signed a record deal with Fonovisa in 2009, and her self-titled debut album will be released on June 30, 2009. The album includes cover versions of popular Regional Mexican songs by Latin superstars Marco Antonio Solis, A.B. Quintanilla, and Gloria Trevi, among others.

In addition to her musical career, Jazmin Lopez is the host of two MTV Tr3s Regional Mexican music shows, ReMexa and ReMexa de Noche.
