[edit] Biography

Wade spent his early years in Camarillo, California, brought up in a Christian family. Both Wade's parents were missionaries, and much of his childhood was spent away from his native state of California, visiting Japan, Thailand and Singapore before moving to Hong Kong, and eventually back to the U.S., to Portland, Oregon.

At the age of twelve Wade's parents divorced and he moved with his mother to Port Orchard, Washington, during which time he started writing lyrics and coming up with melodies after his mother inspired him to learn to play guitar.

This phase of his life ended when his mother relocated the family to Los Angeles. It was in Los Angeles that Wade's musical career began when he co-formed the band, Lifehouse, which subsequently achieved considerable success. Wade married Braeden in 2001.[1] [edit] Music career [edit] Lifehouse

After Wade moved to Los Angeles, he met bassist Sergio Andrade and began his songwriting career. This partnership was the early phase of the formation of Lifehouse, which, after a deal with DreamWorks Records, made them more notable with their first release, No Name Face, which was followed by the album Stanley Climbfall in 2002.

In 2005 the band recorded the album Lifehouse in the Ironworks recording studio owned by musician Jude Cole and actor Kiefer Sutherland. A digital download of the album's first single "You and Me" was RIAA certified gold by the RIAA. In two months, "You and Me" sold over 100,000 downloads.[citation needed]

Subsequent albums released by Lifehouse are: Who We Are in 2007, and Smoke and Mirrors in 2010. [edit] Solo work

Wade's solo work includes songs featured in the motion pictures Shrek ("You Belong to Me") and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! ("Days Go By"), which was redone by the band and released on their third album, Lifehouse. In partnership with Allstate Insurance, the band released "From Where You Are" in 2007 as part of a safe driving campaign aimed at teenagers. Wade lent his voice to Steven Curtis Chapman's album "All Things New" in 2004.
