Jalane (real name Géraldine Plaut) was born on October 20, 1971 in Paris, France. When she was young, she wanted to become a singer. She started as a dancer for small bands then as a backing vocalist for Les Kings Du Swing. She created her own musical style & was remarked by the band IAM who invited her to sing on "Taxi 2" soundtrack in 2000. Success came rapidly. In 2002, she released her first self-titled album & sold 100,000 copies. Her style R&B cool made her a nice singer. For her second album Si J'Avais Su, she joined beauty of lyrics & class of music.
