Young Kristeen

Kristeen Young is an American singer, songwriter and keyboardist from St. Louis, Missouri. She is the frontperson of the piano rock band KRISTEENYOUNG, and is noted for her aggressive style and four-octave vocal range.

1990s

Young and Jeff White began performing under Young's name in the late 1990s. They released their debut album, Meet Miss Young and Her All Boy Band, on World Domination Records, and self-released the followup, Enemy. Their albums have since been self-released in the U.S., though in Portugal, one was released on N_Records.

2000s

In the early 2000s, Young and White began working with Tony Visconti, who has now produced four of their albums: Breasticles, X, The Orphans, and Music For Strippers, Hookers and the Odd On-Looker..

Young has contributed backup vocals to David Bowie's album Heathen, to Anti-Flag'sThe Bright Lights of America and to Morrissey's songs "That's How People Grow Up" and "Sweetie Pie." KRISTEENYOUNG have toured with Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, Killola and Morrissey, and played the 2008 02 Festival in London.
