ROMEO SANTOS

Romeo Santos is an American singer Dominican-Puerto Rican descent. He was the leader, vocalist and composer of the bachata group Aventura. As a member of Aventura, Santos has been a key figure in popularizing the bachata internationally, bringing songs to the top of the Billboard Latin charts and Europe.

Anthony is the composer of almost all topics that have achieved popularity, of the group Aventura. He has also written hits for artists like Wisin & Yandel ("Night of Sex"), Thalia (No, no, no), Hector Acosta ("Me voy"), and Antony Santos ("Kill").

Santos was born on July 21, 1981 in The Bronx, New York. With a Puerto Rican mother and Dominican father Romeo joined the church choir at the age of 12 years. Simultaneously, Romeo developed a great affinity for bachata (own style of music from the Dominican Republic, with a great drag on the lower classes) long before this style of music is crowded around the world when he was 15 years old.
