Pestilence were one of the first and most successful Dutch death metal bands. The band formed in 1986 and debuted with a track on the compilation "Teutonic Invasion II" in 1987 which was released by Rock Hard. Soon they were signed by the upcoming Roadrunner Records and released several well received albums before splitting up in 1994.
