OBTAINED ENSLAVEMENT was formed in 1989, then consisting of : Pest - bass/vocal, Døden - guitar, and Torquemada - drums. In 92 Heks joined the band on guitar and keyboard, and with this line-up the demo «Out Of The Crypts» was released in93.

The original Obtained Enslavement line-up was Pest (vocals & bass), Døden (guitar), and Torquemada (drums). To this day, the trinity are all still in the band. Another member, Heks (guitar & keyboard), joined the band in 1992; the four-man line-up released a demo in 1993 entitled Out of the Crypts. I know that Obtained Enslavement have released more demos, but I am not too sure what the titles are, the years released, etc. I think that they released four other demos prior to Heks entrance into the group, but keep in mind that I am not sure of this information.
Next, the band released their first CD entitled Centuries of Sorrow with this line-up. Later, in 1997, Witchcraft was released.
In 1998, Tortur was replaced on bass by Torgrim (also known as T. Reaper) of Malignant Eternal. Then, Morrigan from Aeternus entered the band on keyboards. With this new line-up, Soulblight was recorded and released.
January 24th, of the year 2000 shall mark the release of The Shepherd and the Hounds of Hell through Napalm Records.
