Since the day Marion got born music has a special part in her life, all she wanted to do was to sing and perform. whe she was little she always drove her family around with her singing. Anyplace, anytime she was singing if she didn't knew the lyrics of a song she made it up her own! When she was five years old she attended the gospel choir in a local church, when she was 7 she started to sing with the famous St.Laurentsius choir from Lørenskog. By the time she was 8, she began playing the piano and attending ballet school. She performed on stage with the ballet and totally loved it. In 1993, when Marion was 9 years old, she acted in the musical "Sound of Music" on the Norwegian Broadway. Marion also recorded a children musical "Vettene Vinner" (Vettene wins) on c with Vettene. That was a group that sing, act and dance. Vettene mean; small trolls that protects nature. Marion was also a part of a following cd "Vettene på gamlespor"(Vettene on old tracks). At the age 10, Marion acted in the musical "Bugsy Malone" and by the time she was 11, in "The Wizard of Oz" . In 1995 her dad arranged for her to make a demo in a studio is Oslo. Marion asked her best friend, Marit, if she wanted to join her. And so she did! They ended up getting a record deal with EMI Norway! In 1996 their cd "Marit og Marion synger kjente barnesanger" (Marit and Marion sings famous children songs) was out in the stores. They were nominated for the Norwegian Grammy, "Spellemannsprisen", in 1997. After making the children cd,Marion had a part in "Othello" on the Norwegian Opera!!! In 1998 Marion was 13 years old. That was when Marion and Marit started recording popdemos in english. Marion wrote my first song in english, "Girl in your dreams" that spring, when she was studying for a test of history it was so bored that she wrote a song for a boy who dumped her! When summer came, they were in New York and had a record deal with Atlantic Records. Together they travelled around for a whole year with, writing songs with different songwriters. The result was "Shades of purple" , the first album as M2M. Their debut single "Don't say you love me" was out in fall 1999, and the album in the following year. After that it's been promotion, tv shows and concers all over the world. In January of 2001 they got back in the studios for recording their new album "The big room" M2M's second album that was going to be released. The didn't work with a lot but with great producers, musicians and engineers. They all made it possible for them to make such a great record! The album got first released in asia with a different cover, after that it got released worldwide, USA, Australia and Europe! A big promotion tour was planned for them! They travelled to the whole world to promoto their second cd! In the summer of 2002 they toured together with Jewel, without Marion realised this would be the last performances as M2M. End of July, M2M got to hear that they were taken off the posters and that they were forced to go back home. So they did. Later on September 23th, fans got to hear that M2M is over! Marion got offered a brand new contract with the same record company Atlantic Records!! Marion started to prepare for her tubo life, she started recording new tracks for the new album. In September they said her album would come out in 9 months, but this wasn't so! There happened a lot of delays for the album, because the record company fired a lot of famous artists and Atlantic Records was being sold to Warner Music! Marion recorded her songs in Sweden, New York and Los Angeles. When she met Nikki Sixx from the band Montley Crue in Norway, she wrote two songs with him. In November 2004, Marion her official site re-opened. She was very different, fans saw new photos and heard some clips online. The music was 'Marion Raven rocks' like she calls it herself. The lyrics got more dept on it. Through her website she communicated with her fans at her message board and chat! Monday 28th of March 2005, Marion recorded in Los Angeles the two videos "Break You" and "Here I Am" . The album is just around the corner!
