Cirque Du Soleil pays tribute to 2012 Oscars' winners with flawless performance
For the second time in Oscars history, the acrobatic troupe of Cirque Du Soleil performed at the last night Oscars, Sunday Febr. 26th. Following their 2002 gig, Cirque Du Soleil tapped a great performance for this year's Academy Awards. This time around, they got help from composer "Iris" composer Danny Elfman. Introduced by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, the troupe did acrobatic spins, while movie fans' favorites like "North by Northwest," "Titanic," "Spider-Man" and "Gone with the Wind" were flashed on the big screen.
"It's about time Spielberg leaves some for the rest of us!" Miss Piggy lamented. Unfortunately, her comment wasn't followed by a shot of Spielberg's face.Meanwhile, cameras showed George Clooney and Stacy Keibler among those who were impressed with the show.
