Bella Morte

Based out of Charlottesville, Virginia, Bella Morte is defined by their unique hybrid of gothic, synthpop, punk, and darkwave. Formed by Andy Deane and Gopal Metro in 1996, the band went on to win the 1997 Virginia Battle of the Bands, and used the proceeds to record their first full length album, "Remains".

"Where Shadows Lie" followed in 1999, and was later reissued by Cleopatra Records with two new tracks, featuring Bn Whitlow on guitar. In 2001, Bella Morte joined the Cruxshadows on a record-setting 53-date U.S. tour, in support of the release of the "Death Rock EP".

Bella Morte then teamed up with producer Kevin McNoldy at Crystalphonic Studios in Charlottesville, and recorded their next full-length, "The Quiet". Featuring tracks written over the past three years, with contributions by Bn Whitlow and new guitarist Tony Lechmanski, the record was released through Metropolis Records in November of 2002.

Bella Morte continues to expand their stageshow, with Micah Consylman on keyboards, and a drummer on the near horizon. Add to that the progress made on the follow-up to "The Quiet", and 2003 is expected to be a great year for Bella Morte fans!
