Outstanding orchestral ambient doom duo from Sydney featuring the haunting vocals and mystical lyrics of Judy Chiara, backed by the flawless musical talents of former Cruciform member Simon Gruer. The band existed as a part time recording project for several years until the debut EP was released in mid 1998, one of the country's finest musical moments. After a long period, during which the band completed recording their full length album, Avrigus re-emerged in late 2000. Having signed a deal with Dutch label Hammerheart Records, their The Secret Kingdom album has since been released on label off-shoot Well of Urd, receiving accolades around the globe. Fans of massive and symphonic melancholy doom are urged to seek this band out.
