Arthur Higelin was born on March 27, 1966 in Paris, France. Son of Jacques Higelin & Nicole Courtois, he got talented but shortened his name by using the initial. In the late 80's, the strange poet travelled in France with jazzy music & funny lyrics. His first self-titled album came out in 1990 & his second, Bachibouzouk in 1992, received a Victoire De La Musique. His career was launched with nice success. In 1998, during a concert in Los Angeles, he married bassist Alexandra Mikhalkova, the mother of his 2 daughters Marcia & Alma. In 2005, his album Adieu Tristesse included a duet with Mathieu Chedid, "Est-Ce Que Tu Aimes ?", which video received a Victoire De La Musique in 2006. With a musical creativity, Arthur came back with L'Homme Du Monde in 2008, melting all the styles (groovy poetry, funk, hypnotic lyrics, disco & R&B) in 12 songs.
